Years ago, digital transformation—organizational-wide strategies for leveraging digital technology to modernize business processes—was primarily talk. It was nice to have but loaded with complex on-premise installations, few if any updates and rarely the efficiency gains promised. Times have changed. Today, digital transformation is one of the top differentiators between those leading their industries and those falling behind.
