The Commons Project Foundation has built a scanning app that reads the QR code from the group’s SMART Health Cards that function as digital vaccine credentials.

The Commons Project Foundation has unveiled a new, free app that can scan the QR code produced by SMART Health Cards, the digital vaccine credentials The Commons Project helped develop as part of the Vaccine Credential Initiative (VCI).

SMART Health Cards give the carrier the ability to demonstrate vaccine receipt in certain settings, like when boarding a plane or going to school or work.

That airport or workplace will now be able to use The Commons Project Foundation’s SMART Health Card Verifier, which the organization will offer for free. The scanner will display...
