Senior assistance network SilverAssist acquires Caring.com

In-home care and senior living resource and referral service Caring.com has been acquired by senior assistance network SilverAssist.

The deal, announced Monday, expands SilverAssist’s network of aging referral services, which also include Oasis Senior Advisors, a network of local certified senior advisors, and ElderLife Financial, a financial services company designed to help families pay for senior housing.

San Mateo, California-based Caring.com was founded in 2007 and provides a senior care directory including hundreds of thousands of reviews for senior living and in-home care providers. It was previously held by private equity group Caring Holdings, LLC.

The company’s CEO, Greg Mason, sees increasing relevance for in-home care in the older adult care industry.
