Cybercriminals are attacking our healthcare systems at an alarming rate. According to a report from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, ransomware attacks on healthcare organizations doubled between 2022 and 2023, making the healthcare sector one of the fastest-growing targets for cybercriminals. Even more alarming is that nearly 1 in 4 of these attacks were carried out using a ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS) tool called LockBit.
