Coronavirus has been a trial by fire for hospitals, pushing staff to their limit and exposing inefficiencies and supply gaps that may have flown under the radar in normal times.

As we emerge from this crisis, the case for healthcare system leaders to invest in new and upgraded technology to address these shortcomings will be stronger than ever.

Most coverage of healthcare tech and Covid-19 has focused on telemedicine tools that enable patients to consult with their doctor remotely. But there are many other aspects of hospital operations that the pandemic has revealed as outdated and where technology has the potential to deliver a big boost to patient care, staff morale and overall efficiency and performance.
