The home-based care provider Compassus has appointed Michael J. Asselta as its new CEO, succeeding David Grams.

Prior to joining Compassus, Asselta spent eight years with Massachusetts-based Fresenius Medical Care North America, where he most recently served as COO of U.S. Care Delivery and president of Fresenius Kidney Care. There, he managed more than 60,000 employees and 4,000 care delivery locations.
