Abstract

The Chief Strategy Officer from Intermountain Health and the Senior Vice President of Microsoft Health discuss their combined expertise and resources, collaboratively with partners, to address the challenges that rural areas are experiencing in health care in the United States. These disparities include limited access to care, rising mortality rates, and severe staffing shortages. The collaborative efforts aim to create a scalable model that can benefit both rural and urban health care systems. There is also an importance for leveraging access through telemedicine and increased cybersecurity that will help improve care and financial stability for rural communities....
