This week, many states reported that they will be receiving billions of dollars in funding from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to help strengthen rural health access. The agency announced that states have been awarded from $147 to $281 million to address crucial rural health needs, ranging from increasing access and addressing workforce shortages to updating facilities and improving technology enablement.
