The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has issued its, Calendar Year (CY) 2026 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) Final Rule, which includes policies for the Quality Payment Program (QPP) for the 2026 performance year (PY) and beyond. This rule will be published on November 5, 2025, in the Federal Register.
2026 Policy Highlights
Finalized a limited number of policies for QPP, keeping their focus on stability in the program. Their policies support the continuing transformation of the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) through MIPS Value Pathways (MVPs), and center on alignment across programs as well as responsiveness to feedback and concerns raised by interested parties.
