Central Maine Health Ventures, a subsidiary of Auburn-based Central Maine Healthcare, is attempting to acquire full ownership of its ASC, Central Maine Orthopaedics Ambulatory Surgical Center in Auburn, according to a Dec. 1 report from the Sun Journal.

Currently, 50% of the ASC is owned by Spectrum Healthcare Partners. For the last two years, Central Maine Health has been responsible for the ASC’s day-to-day operations, and all of its physicians and team members have been employed by Central Maine Medical Center.

After the transaction is complete, Central Maine Health will take over 100% of the ASC’s management responsibilities.
