– While Faulkner said she still has more to accomplish as CEO, sources told CNBC that the likely choice as her successor is Sumit Rana, who was named president last August.

– “Why be owned by people whose interest is primarily return of equity?” Faulkner said in an interview, referring to her aversion to the public market.
