On Oct. 30, the Biden administration announced that President Joe Biden has just issued an Executive Order to compel safety in the development of artificial intelligence (AI). Among its provisions is one explicitly directing the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to “establish a safety program to receive reports of—and act to remedy – harms or unsafe healthcare practices involving AI.”
