Rep. Ami Bera (D-Calif.) wants the House to regroup its task force on artificial intelligence, arguing the government should work more with industry, POLITICO’s Ben Leonard reports.

The key Democratic lawmaker, who served on the panel last Congress, told our Ruth Reader at POLITICO’s Health Care Summit today that the government should work more with industry.

The task force issued recommendations last Congress that focused on addressing “demonstrable” harms from technology while taking a cautious approach to passing new laws. But the task force hasn’t been renewed this Congress.
