High-quality care depends, in part, on advancing technological solutions. As we look ahead, that progress will increasingly include the ability to perform diagnostic and screening tests at home. COVID-19 has obviously accelerated this trend, and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is committed to learning from those experiences, to ensure that, going forward, our nation has the capability to provide remote testing both during the next outbreak and as a part of routine patient care.
