Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina has purchased all North Carolina locations of FastMed, a national chain of urgent care clinics.

The payer has also named Jim Moffett as FastMed’s CEO. He previously served as president of Trinity Health’s Holy Cross Medical Group in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and was president and CEO of AdventHealth’s Medical Group before that.
