From apps that support opioid patients recovery treatments to apps that allow patients to directly message their physicians, here is a list of health systems piloting, creating and deploying applications to enhance patient care, as reported by Becker’s since May 1:

  1. Charlottesville, Va.-based UVA Health created an app that offers patients struggling with opioid addiction easy access to providers and other forms of support. The application was able to keep 56 percent of patients engaged in their treatment recovery programs.
