Bambu AI augments psychological and behavioral treatments in two ways: by providing ongoing support between the patient’s weekly or monthly visits, and by summarizing the conversations that patients have with their Willow app and presenting the clinician with information about the patients on a weekly basis.

CEO and Co-Founder Zack Lamb emphasizes that Willow maintains privacy by keeping all patient data on the patient’s mobile device. Neither Bambu AI nor the clinical site gets the raw data. Unlike many behavioral health companies, Bambu AI does not collect patient data to train its algorithms.
