Earlier this week I published a piece declaring that to realize meaningful ROI from agentic development, the tech industry needs to consider enterprise-wide use cases instead of focusing on the current vogue for personal productivity agents. This should not be too surprising, since the argument is that a bigger investment in enterprise-grade applications, if it’s done well, will lead to a bigger economic impact for the business.
