Amazon Web Services and General Catalyst are teaming up to develop artificial intelligence-powered tools to address common challenges in healthcare.

Four details:

1. Under the partnership, the venture capital firm’s portfolio companies will use AWS’ technology and data services to develop and deploy AI tools for health systems “at an unprecedented scale and speed,” according to a Jan. 13 news release. Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.

2. General Catalyst’s Aidoc, which employs AI to analyze medical imaging, and Commure, which automates administrative processes for clinicians, are among the first companies to participate in the partnership. While the partnership is a multi-year agreement, new tools from Aidoc and Commure are expected in 2025, leaders at the companies...
