– Amazon Web Services has announced the general availability of its centralized blockchain service, Amazon Quantum Ledger Database (QLDB).

Amazon QLDB is a fully managed service that provides an immutable and cryptographically verifiable ledger for applications that need a trusted authority to provide a permanent record of transactions.

Amazon QLDB’s document-oriented data model enables customers to store structured and unstructured data in the ledger.

AWS said that Amazon QLDB is a new class of database class that offers a high-performance, immutable, and cryptographically verifiable ledger that can be used by clients to construct apps that operate as a system of record in which multiple parties transact with a centralized, trusted entity.
