Augmented World Expo 2025 had a much more pointed theme than previous years, with a strong focus on XR going mainstream and a message that the industry is finally coming out of its “startup” phase. As always, the world’s premier XR conference was kicked off by its organizer, Ori Inbar, who gave his usual summary of the past year and his expectations for the year to come. Inbar started his presentation by playing pool using the Spectacles developer AR headset from Snap, which had a huge presence at AWE this year.
