Seventy-six percent of ASCs now use an EHR system, according to the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association’s July 2025 60-Second Survey.

That figure is up from 64% in 2023 and 55% in 2021, marking a 36% increase in four years.

The survey gathered 280 responses from ASCs across 42 states.

Here are five more survey notes to know:

1. EHR use was highest among physician-owned centers (82%), compared with 72% for management company joint ventures and 71% for hospital-affiliated ASCs.

2. Among ASCs using EHRs, 76% said they would recommend their system to other centers.
