The ANA Enterprise had a tangible influence on the profession last year through its education, advocacy and policy work, according to the organization’s 2023 Annual Impact Report.

The report, published March 18, outlines key efforts to support nurses and advance the profession from the American Nurses Association, American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Nurses Foundation.

In 2023, the entities:

  • Welcomed 40,000 new ANA members.
  • Delivered leadership, innovation and ethics education to 235,000 nurses.
  • Committed $200,000 to support 10 projects aimed at dismantling racism in nursing.
  • Reached more than 520,000 nurses and healthcare leaders with content about addressing racism.
  • Allocated $5.5 million to back four innovative nurse-led projects under the Reimagining Nursing Initiative. These projects aim to...
