Remedy’s The Lake House DLC is not only a fantastic wrap up to Alan Wake 2, but it also offers a nuanced critique of both generative AI technologies and human creativity.
While, for me, the Night Springs DLC missed the mark, The Lake House is a return to form. It’s by turns terrifying, funny, and thought provoking—the gameplay and environment designs are a stellar mashup of Alan Wake and Control.
On top of sharp gameplay, I was surprised by the game’s thoughtful take on generative AI.
