Mayo Clinic takes its artificial intelligence-powered nursing documentation platform enterprise-wide, Google Cloud collaborates on drug repurposing AI and a government-funded infectious disease risk model aims to improve public health resilience.

This week Abridge announced that its artificial intelligence listening-documentation platform will be distributed more broadly at Mayo Clinic to improve patient care following the health system’s evaluation. With announcements from the nonprofit Every Cure and Switchboard, MD, it’s clear that the use of Google’s and other machine learning models is also accelerating in areas like drug repurposing and infectious disease surveillance and response.
