The time has come to talk about senior living’s new kid on the block.

No, it’s not some hotshot entrepreneur dreaming of better care and an enhanced investment portfolio. Rather, it’s a bunch of algorithms and circuits going by the name of artificial intelligence. Or AI for short.

The most recent iteration of this technology-driven sea change was announced this week. It involves a new partnership between Mynd Immersive and the CTA Foundation.

They’re calling it the Great American Elderverse. Currently, it involves about 60 senior living organizations in and around New York, with plans to add hundreds more by the end of next year. It’s targeting two lofty goals for residents: reduced social isolation and improved quality of life.
