It has been a packed week in Washington for generative artificial intelligence (AI).

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York kicked off his series of closed-door, bipartisan “AI Insight Forums” Wednesday (Sep. 13).

Twenty-two tech leaders and AI experts, among them some of the richest individuals in human history at the helm of many of the world’s most valuable companies, descended on D.C. to speak to all 100 senators about how to effectively legislate AI’s pitfalls without hamstringing its potential.
