The American Hospital Association argues that the healthcare supply chain is not going to be back to “normal” anytime soon, despite estimates that still project its growth.

“The vision of a more stable and predictable supply chain after peak product and drug shortages during the pandemic is looking more and more like a mirage,” an AHA blog post reads.

Several hospitals and pharmaceutical companies are continuing to grapple with disruptions in the supply chain that have caused shortages ranging from medical devices, personal protective equipment, medications and more.
