The health system said it will select Terry Shaw’s replacement in the spring.

Terry Shaw will retire from his role as president and CEO of AdventHealth in July, the Altamonte Springs, Florida-based health system said on Friday. He will remain on the health system’s board of directors.

The executive has held the post since 2016 and served the organization in a variety of roles for 40 years.

Shaw oversaw AdventHealth through a series of transitions, including the system’s rebrand from Adventist Health System in 2019, its split from a 27-year joint venture with CommonSpirit Health in 2023 and its exit from the skilled nursing facility...
