A new report outlines eight action areas for healthcare to support the social determinants of health and drive health equity.

The healthcare industry and individual communities are doing important work to address the social determinants of health, but more work is needed to fully drive health equity across disparate populations, according to a new report from the Root Cause Coalition.

The 77-member coalition, which focuses on the downstream impacts of certain social circumstances for various populations, published the 2020 Status of Health Equity Report, identifying eight key steps communities can take to drive health equity.
