The American College of Radiology has named the 2024 winner of its Impact in Leadership Award as well as eight Emerging Leader Scholarship awardees. All were selected through the ACR’s Radiology Leadership Institute (RLI).
The Impact in Leadership honoree is neuro and interventional radiologist Archie McGowan, MD, MBA. According to his LinkedIn profile, McGowan serves as president of Atlantic Radiology of New Hampshire and co-director of the comprehensive stroke program at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
Announcing the selection at the college’s annual meeting in Washington, D.C., last week, the RLI’s chief medical officer, Frank Lexa, MD, MBA, said the Impact award goes to “those who have used this [RLI] training to change radiology for the better.”
