HHS announced a record-breaking 23.6 million Americans have enrolled in health coverage for 2025 through the Affordable Care Act marketplace.

Enrollment in the marketplace has increased by 11.6 million nearly doubling from 2021, when the marketplace had just 12 million enrollees. The new data includes 3.2 million new consumers this year, pushing the total number of signups to a historic high, according to a Jan. 8 CMS news release.
