Mindfulness courses led by a teacher in a group setting can help adults reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression for at least six months, according to a study by the University of Cambridge. The study analyzed data from 13 trials and found that mindfulness-based programs were beneficial irrespective of the participant’s age, gender, or educational level. The study, however, does not confirm the effectiveness of mindfulness apps.

A recent study conducted by the University of Cambridge reveals that adults who partake in mindfulness courses exhibit less symptoms of anxiety and depression for at least six months after completing the program, in comparison to those who do not participate.
