AI is all about logic, but not all of it is straightforward. Building artificial intelligence models requires a stringent approach to algorithmic logic based on the defining and determining factors that make up the model itself. But there’s a word in that sentence that’s very important and it’s determinism. As we now extend all forms of AI (generative, predictive, reactive and so on) to incorporate the notion of AI agents with their autonomous ability to perform in non-deterministic environments (where the “determined” nature of computation is left more open), we need to embrace a new degree of managed randomness.
