BOSTON — There have been many lessons learned during the fall convention season, and probably the most pervasive of all has been that the “tech era” has fully arrived in long-term care.

Like it or not.

The good news is, more and more providers are warming up to, if not outright endorsing, it at every turn.

It’s understandable that nurses and others haven’t always been sure that cozying up to machines and digital circuits is the best way to go. But more of them are also recognizing the logic behind doing whatever they can to improve their workforce efficiency. A beating heart as accompaniment purely optional.
