From teaming up with Mayo Clinic to committing to the Biden administration’s cancer efforts, here is a look at where EHR giant Epic is extending its partnerships in 2024:

Mayo Clinic

Epic ​​is collaborating with Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic and healthcare artificial intelligence company Abridge to develop a generative AI tool for nurses.

Mayo Clinic is in the process of securing patient consent to record their visits with nurses. This data will aid Abridge in developing an AI tool that will be integrated into the health system’s Epic EHR. Mayo Clinic aims to begin piloting the platform in clinical settings in early 2025.
