Joe Kimura, M.D., M.P.H., was named chief medical officer of the SCAN Group in Long Beach, California, in April 2025. Before SCAN, Kimura was the chief medical officer at Somatus, Inc., a value-based care company for kidney and cardiovascular disease, and at Atrius Health, a multispecialty medical group in Massachusetts, where he led a number of value-based care initiatives, clinical analytics and digital health solutions.
