For over 30 years, my teams and I have developed, implemented, and evaluated employee health and wellness programs in the United States. These programs, often recognized nationally and internationally, utilize best practices outlined in the HERO Health and Well-being Best Practice Scorecard in collaboration with Mercer. This approach has led to high employee engagement, improved population health, and reduced healthcare costs. My travels abroad piqued my curiosity about how employers in other countries address workplace health and well-being. This article explores these strategies in the U.S., Belize and Italy.
