This is getting monotonous. Last time out in this space, I discussed the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services plan to close six of the nation’s 10 regional offices for its Office of the General Counsel.

But what I did not discuss in my last article was the newest development in our federal government that may cause further delays in government services. You see, at the time that article was published, the government also entered its first day of the federal shutdown, which can only compound the delays from Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ recent reduction in workforce.

Of course, that government shutdown continues today, with no real end in sight.
