Several hospitals and health systems have opened new inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units in the past month.

Here are nine behavioral health centers that have opened since Dec. 11:

  1. Detroit-based Henry Ford Health opened a 192-bed behavioral hospital in West Bloomfield, Mich., Jan. 21. The facility is a joint venture between the health system and Acadia Healthcare.
  2. Lancaster (Pa.) General Hospital opened a new walk-in clinic for low-risk behavioral health patients, Fox43 reported Jan. 16.
  3. New Mexico is opening seven certified community behavioral health clinics in January 2025. The clinics are supported by $15 million in state funding. All will offer 24/7 crisis care.
