Here are 72 organizations launching or expanding nursing programs:

  1. New York City-based St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, part of Episcopal Health Services, launched the health system’s inaugural nurse residency program.
  2. Livingston-based University of West Alabama changed its division of nursing to a college of nursing.
  3. Joplin-based Missouri Southern State University is expanding its prelicensure baccalaureate in nursing program with a $347,252, three-year grant.
  4. Providence, R.I.-based Hasbro Children’s Hospital and the Flynn Foundation launched its Flynn Pediatric Oncology Fellowship program, which will provide professional development to pediatric oncology nurses.
  5. Boone, N.C.-based Appalachian State University will welcome its first cohort of students to a hybrid Doctor of Nursing Practice degree program in fall 2026.
