One of the important figures behind deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) synthesis technology is biochemist and Nobel Laureate Kary Mullis. Allegedly, he discovered a way to synthetically replicate DNA through what is now known as polymerase chain reaction (PCR) while dropping massive hits of acid on his way home from work.
