6 things to know about R1 RCM’s returning CEO

Joe Flanagan has returned as CEO of R1 RCM following the completion of TowerBrook Capital Partners and Clayton, Dubilier & Rice’s $8.9 billion deal to take the company private.

Here are six things to know about R1’s returning CEO:

1. Mr. Flanagan held several positions at General Electric from 1993 to 2006.

2. He held several executive positions at telecommunications equipment manufacturer Nortel Networks Corporation, including president of Nortel Business Services.

3. He also previously served as senior vice president of worldwide operations and supply chain at Applied Materials.
