Here are six major nursing grants and donations used to fight nurse shortages in 2022:

  1. UnitedHealth Group’s philanthropic arm, The United Health Foundation, said Dec. 1 it is partnering with the American Nurses Foundation on a three-year, $3.1 million program aimed at fighting burnout among nurses.
  2. Leonard Lauder, chairman emeritus of Estée Lauder, will donate $52 million to the nursing school at Hunter College — a record donation for the public New York City school.
