Twenty-four recent grants seek to strengthen the behavioral health workforce by bolstering expanded training programs, student support and increased access to care in underserved communities.

  1. Pennsylvania State University in University Park received a permanent endowment from alumnus Jonathan Wold to expand the behavioral health workforce through undergraduate education. The gift funds renewable scholarships, enhanced addiction and recovery curricula, and hands-on internship opportunities to prepare students for careers in mental health and substance use treatment, according to a Dec. 1 news release.
