Although many hospitals closed in the past year due to financial difficulties and other challenges, several health systems are expanding services with new hospitals set to open in 2025.
Here are five hospitals on track to open this year, as previously reported by Becker’s:
1. Prosser (Wash.) Memorial Health will open a new $125 million hospital on Feb. 1. Construction began in 2022 after the health system determined building a new hospital was more cost-effective than renovating its previous facility.
2. Birmingham, Ala.-based Encompass Health plans to build a 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility in Wesley Chapel, Fla., in 2025.
3. AdventHealth Minneola (Fla.), a $271 million hospital with 80 beds, is scheduled to open in late 2025. Construction...
