1. Prime Healthcare acquires eight Ascension hospitals in Illinois
Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare has completed its acquisition of eight hospitals and two ASCs in Illinois from St. Louis-based Ascension. Prime signed an asset purchase agreement in July 2024 and received approval from the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board on Dec. 17.
