Clinicians participating in the Quality Payment Program created under the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act began submitting 2017 performance data through a new system on the QPP website.

Here are four things to know about the new submission system.

1. Under CMS’ legacy programs, clinicians were required to submit data through multiple websites. The new system, unveiled Jan. 2, features a single website.

2. Eligible clinicians must log in to the system. Once logged in, the system will connect clinicians to the taxpayer identification number linked with their national provider identifier. Data will be reported either individually or as a group.
