As consumer interest in shopping malls has continued to decrease since the COVID-19 pandemic, healthcare systems have started to fill the unused space. To date, space in more than 32 malls nationwide has been turned into healthcare facilities.

Here are four ASCs opening in former department stores:

1. Camden, N.J.-based Cooper University Health Care has unveiled a $150 million ambulatory care center with an ASC in a former Sears department store in Moorestown, N.J.
