Nearly 350 bipartisan members of the House of Representatives cosigned a letter to CMS stating their support for Medicare Advantage as the program continues to grow.

The lawmakers praised the program’s historic affordability and comprehensive benefits, and emphasized its growing commitment to underserved populations, including racial and ethnic minorities.

“Amidst the COVID-19 crisis, Medicare Advantage serves some of the most at-risk and disproportionately affected populations. During the pandemic, Medicare Advantage enrollees experienced a 19 percent lower rate of hospitalization compared to original Medicare beneficiaries.”
